Gone Digital

‘Gone fishing’ may be a familiar phrase in and around the Northern Ireland’s largest freshwater lake but it’s more a case of ‘Gone Digital’ for the Lough Neagh Partnership.

lough neagh discovery centreThe Lough Neagh Partnership was set up with a “whole Lough” interest or remit and has responsibility for the delivery of the £3.2 million strategic fund.  The partnership recognised the need for a comprehensive information technology system if they were to carry out their function of developing all aspects of the Lough.

In their proposal to the the partnership Mallon Technology demonstrated a unique understanding of the client’s needs, emanating from their 10 years of experience in the IT industry and expertise in providing training and consultancy.  The company was awarded the contract in June 2005 and promptly deployed a MCSE certified Engineer to install and network the new PC’s and printers.

Their new equipment will give new staff at the Lough Neagh Partnership access to the internet, e-mail and printing capabilities and will undoubtedly aid them in their pursuit to develop the Lough in an economic, environmental and socially sustainable way.  Mallon Technology’s customer service/support desk operates during office hours meaning assistance for the Agency’s staff at the touch of a button and guaranteed 4 hour emergency response onsite should the need arise.
