Following Mallon’s recent commitment to achieving Net Zero by 2040, the company has joined the SME Climate Hub.
The SME Climate Hub is a united global initiative that aims to empower small and medium–sized enterprises in the fight against climate change. Launched during the UN Climate Action Summit in 2019, the SME Climate Hub is a collaborative platform facilitated by the International Chamber of Commerce, the United Nations Race to Zero campaign, and various other partners. It provides SMEs with the resources, tools, and support necessary to implement sustainable practices and reduce carbon emissions effectively.
Mallon’s Commitment to Sustainability
Over recent years, the company has taken proactive steps to reduce its impact on the environment, from installing solar panels to introducing an electric company car. Joining a global initiative such as the SME Climate Hub underscores the company’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and contributing to climate action.
Mallon hopes to set a leading example for other SMEs in the geospatial industry and across Ireland that together, we can help build a greener, more sustainable world.
Regarding the SME Climate Hub announcement, Andrew Bennett, Environmental Manager, said, “Mallon is proud to join the SME Climate Hub. Through the SME Climate Hub, we are committing to lowering our environmental impact. We are delighted to receive the SME Climate Hub badge as official recognition of our business’ commitment to taking authentic action to achieve this.”
